Women who were survivors of child abuse were more likely than men to experience abuse as an adult
Women who were survivors of childhood corruption were four times more likely to experience sexual assault later on the historic period of 16 than male person survivors (43% compared with 11%). Adult survivors of child corruption and levels of health and well-existence
The analysis shows that developed survivors of babyhood abuse were more likely to have taken illegal drugs in the last year than those who had non experienced abuse as a kid (12% compared with 8%).

A spokesman for child protection charity, the National Order for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) said: "A child's experience of corruption must never dictate their hereafter, which is why we work directly with victims to help them recover and become their lives back on track.
"Although survivors may bear the scars of their experiences, this should non define who they are.

Other research
Previous inquiry has looked into the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on afterward life.
